  • Dry Foam Shampoo should be diluted at 6:1 with water.

  • Apply by hand scrubbing with a sponge or cloth or by wet rotary machine. B. Always rinse equipment with clean water immediately after use.

  • Work into rich foam, taking care not to over-wet the carpet.

  • Allow the foam/soil agglomerate to dry onto the carpet then vacuum off.
  • Allow the carpet to dry before reopening it up to traffic.

Caution:

Never vacuum the carpet when it is wet as this may cause an electrical fault with the vacuum cleaner or even lead to an electrical shock for the operator.

HEAVY STAINING: PRE-SPOTTING

If an area is heavily stained, a diluted solution (20:1) of Carpet Fresh can be used as a pre-spotter prior to cleaning the whole carpet. Apply to the soiled area using a 600ml spray bottle and allow the solution several minutes contact time before using the extraction machine. Always follow the recommended dilutions. Over concentration may leave the carpet slightly tacky which quickly leads to more soil re-depositing on the carpet fibres.

Not classified as hazardous, however we advise that normal hygiene practices are adopted. Wear rubber gloves when handling and avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice if irritation occurs.

COSHH STATEMENT

COSHH is a risk management system that requires all employers to take steps to control substances (chemicals) that may cause harm to employees, contractors and visitors to the workplace. Every work environment will be different in terms of the hazardous chemicals that are present, and how these are used, and individual assessments may be necessary to consider how chemicals can be handled and stored safely, in addition to ensuring that appropriate PPE and training is provided for employees.
