XAG 912 INDUSTRIAL RUST & SCALE REMOVER

Combines a non-fuming mineral acid with solvents, special soaps and inhibitors to de-rust and de-scale metal surfaces safely and effectively. Once cleaned the surface is completely passivated and ready for further protective coating treatment if required. It can also be used as a closed system descaling fluid at 40-50°C.

HOW TO USE

  • Effective as a de-rusting solution either by soak tank or spraying methods.

 

  • To increase performance the soak tank should be heated to 60-80°C.

 

  • To de-rust/de-scale objects should be sprayed or soaked with a diluted de-scaling solution at a dilution of 5-10:1 with water depending on the degree of soiling.

 

  • Before acid treatment, rust debris should be removed from the surface with an abrasive brush.

 

  • Once treated the affected area will turn black, as the rust is converted into a passive iron phosphate coating. The surface will then be ready for painting.

SAFETY ADVISE

Corrosive. Causes burns. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye protection. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately.
